The PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) is a charitable organisation that previously have provided veterinary care for pets whose owners are not in the position to pay for it.
From 1 November 2017, the Pet Practice Service run by the PDSA will be closed to all new clients.
If a new client has been processed in October and their registration certificate is due to start on 1 November 2017, the certificate will cover them for a limited duration until December 2017. Given that for those clients, certificate renewals will be for a limited period of time, PDSA has taken the decision to refund the client their Pet Practice access fee of £7.50 which would have been paid.
Those existing clients with a current, valid Pet Practice Service registration certificate which is due to expire between the 31 October 2017 and 30 November 2017 (inclusive), will automatically be sent an updated certificate that covers them for a limited duration until 31 December 2017.
Any client with a current, valid Pet Practice Service registration certificate which is due to expire after 31 December 2017 will be able to continue to rely on that certificate and therefore use the service but only until the expiry date shown on the certificate.
